DEFINITIONS  OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY:

Science is defined as hypothesis /postulates ,
theoretical explanation, observation and experimental 
verification of a certain phenomena.

**Science is the word derived from Latin word "scientia".

**Science further classified as  

     (1)Basic sciences,                                                                                                    (2)Applied sciences.     

Basic sciences deals with principles of observed 
phenomena in nature.                                                                                                  

   ex:-       
         natural sciences .......    botany  ,zoology .

                     physical sciences  .........     physics , chemistry.

            earth sciences       ........     geology , metrology.

Applied sciences deals with application of principles 
from basic sciences.

Ex:- electronics , biochemistry ,geophysics.

Technology:-
it is a word derived from Greek word ' Technologia ' 
means systematic treatment of an art.

*Defined as usage of the applied science in systematic manner.

Ex:- rectification and amplification.

Engineering:- 
Application of technology with proper planning.
